Not a New Year’s Resolution

My favorite season of the liturgical year is just days away. We will celebrate Ash Wednesday which opens the door to Lent. To many, Lent is dreary, sad and, for lack of a better term, blah. Many people do not like Lent and dread it because of many different reasons.I always hear complaints about music during Lent. Not only do we not use Alleluia during Mass, but the music we do sing seems sad and dark. To me Lent is exactly as I described it, but it makes me feel at peace and in some ways complete.
